Infant Baptisms
For children 0 to 6 years old, please follow the steps listed below.
Baptism for Children
For children who are in the 1st grade through 8th grade. Since children of this age are old enough to understand and learn about the Sacrament, a series of Baptism classes are required for the child as well as the parent.

Baptismal Process for Infants and Children
- Please download and complete the Pre-Baptism Letter and Interview Form and the Godparent Form.
- Bring the completed forms along with a copy of the child's Birth Certificate to the Corpus Christi Center (parish office). You also have the option to email these forms to [email protected] or fax them to the office at 626-330-0220. A Birth Certificate is required to begin the process, sorry we do not accept hospital certificates.
- Begin to think about the persons you will invite to be Godparents for your child. Remember you are inviting this "special person" to walk with your child along his/her spiritual journey. The godparents you choose must be good Christian role models, consistently active in their own parish. At least ONE godparent must be a practicing Catholic who:
a) Has received the three Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.
b) Over the age of 16.
c) If married, be married in the Catholic Church.
d) A practicing member in good-standing in the Catholic Church, who lives a life in harmony with the faith.
Only one godparent is necessary. The other godparent, if not a Catholic must be a baptized Christian.
Any additional questions regarding godparents can be discussed during the Pre-Baptism Interview. - The parents and godparents of the child will be required to attend an online class hosted by the Archdiocese and submit their certificates of completion.
- You will be contacted via email by the Religious Education Team with further instructions after your Baptism Request has been received.
God bless you and your families as you prepare for the Sacrament of baptism for your child.
